When designing an all new online global LMS platform for the organization, it had to appeal to highly competitive people who want to move the business – and themselves rapidly. It had to be innovative, competitive, entertaining, and technology-based.

What was introduced was a revolutionary gamified learning platform, LevelUp Interactive, a non-traditional learning management system (LMS) where associates complete “missions” and become certified in their positions. At its time, it may have been the only fully gamified learning platform in the world; after several years of successful use in the U.S. to drive sales and vendor sponsorships, we launched it globally – it is currently being used in the U.S., Canada, Northern Europe, France, Italy, and Australia. The platform has nearly 100 “missions, " including leadership development content, product knowledge, operational training, and sales training. It encourages employees to compete with others using the most engaging elements of real games. The platform is tied closely to accountability as teams are expected to participate in training consistently and completely and identify strong relationships between the training and our measurable business results.
